If you don’t have a car, check the “Offered Rides” for people departing from your current location, and reserve a seat.
If you have a car, check for the “Requested Rides” to find people looking for a driver in your location, and offer them a ride!
It’s important to know the person a bit before getting into the same vehicle. Both passengers and drivers will be able to see each others’ photos, previous reviews, and see their connection (common friends) to each other. Passengers will also see car details and preferences (pet/smoking tolerance) beforehand.
Whether you are a driver or a passenger, you choose who you share a ride with. Don’t shy away from declining requests from people you don’t feel comfortable with. After accepting, you can call / chat with a user in order to organize your meetup.
Would you trust your neighbor or your colleague with a ride? Beyond your social network, there are amazing people you run into everyday but don’t know very well. People that work in the same plaza, who study at the same university, or even who live in the same residential complex. Each real community has a security code. If you’re part of a real community, look for the Volt code for that community. This code will unlock your community badge which will give you immediate access to more rides with people that are fun to meet.
